I think the bible quotations displayed on hand drawn signs in the trading post reinforce some of your interpretations.

There is another partially visible on the wall to the left of Nobody. It appears to read:
Hath he smitten him, as he smote those that smote him? or is he slain according to the slaughter of them that are slain by him?
which is Isaiah 27:7, but the attribution on the sign appears to read Proverbs 27:7.
