This film had the "Convoy" effect (killed Ali McGraw's career)
Swayze had no blockbusters after this, just that appalling "Black Dog"
    Snipes redeemed himself with "Blade"
Leguizamo got bit parts for years after his performance, this may have helped him some

Patrick's career had already began to wind down by the time 1995 rolled around. Everyone knew him for Dirty Dancing, and then Ghost, but his other films after that didn't do nearly as well. From what I read in his autobiography, he was practically begging for the role of Vida.

It really is too bad.. because Swayze and Snipes were delightfully against type.. you'd have hoped people would have seen the film and put them in something different. Although just a few years later Swayze was amazing, even in a supporting role, in "Donnie Darko". It's a shame the film didn't do more for them though.. it was pretty braze them going against their more macho image in doing something like this that was quirky and definitely a risk.
