Debra's job is not that hard

Hahahahaha. Shut up troll
How does having a difference of opinion from you make someone a troll? If you disagree that it's an easy job to care for three kids that are old enough to be in school all day, clean up after themselves and wipe their own butts, then why don't you say so, instead of resorting to name calling? -

I think it's made to look hard. With all the toys strewn all over the place, their bedroom, bathroom and kitchen seem to be the only rooms that are clutter free. Scenes in the twins room, kids bathroom and living room, you could open a toy store! However, it's a sitcom and if Debra were to be more organised it probably wouldn't be as funny. Would have wondered how she would have got on had the job worked out for her.

I agree with you. I stayed at home till my youngest started school then I returned to work. I went out of my mind being stuck at home with kids all day. I have friends who love staying at home. I guess it takes a certain personality to be a stay at home mom. But, as much as Debra complains she should just get a job. She tries in one episode but after that seems to give up.

I remember Ray wining when she was going for that job that he thought that he made enough money so she didn't have to work. However, as some just don't understand you might not have to but need to. Debra was very involved with her children's school; PTA, fund raising, costume making etc. She really wasn't lying around eating chocolates and reading Mills and Boon, although Marie made out that she was.

And, not to mention when Ray had to do it, he moped and whined as well. If it's so easy, Ray could easily help and be done fast.
But no. He didn't want Debra to work, or volunteer for anything, because he wanted her to do all of that. Such as voting for Parker, whom he hates, so Debra wouldn't win. Or when she helps Frank at the lodge, and Ray comes down there moping because of the kids, and HIS family being in the house and driving him crazy. Then acting snippy with Debra afterwards because he was stuck at home with them. And most likely, he didn't have to do anything while he was there. Same thing when Debra was PMSing, and she went with Amy to the mall. Then when she comes back, Ray has an attitude with her because he had to deal with the kids that night.
If you're gonna pretend to cut her hair, at least put some scissors in your hand!

I loved staying home when my kids were babies and toddlers, but never got to do so much when they were older. The thing about housework and childcare is that it has to be done whether you work or not. Debra had it made in my opinion, but then I never had a chance to be bored. It depends on the parent's personality.

It's not easy taking care of 3 kids and a house, but it beats working outside the home. What I always find so annoying about her character is her constant demands for help with everything from feeding, taking care of the kids, get the door, get the phone, help Ally, bathe the twins, stay home because I'm sick, she can't even manage to take them grocery shopping without having a nervous breakdown!

I disagree. I've had full time jobs and now I am a stay at home mom and being a stay at home mom is much harder. Furthermore why shouldn't Ray be expected to help with his own kids. He is their father. I know I don't expect my husband to do much in the way of taking care of the house, but I certainly expect him to help out with his own kids. I hate in when men act like when there job ends for the day that their day is over. When you stay at home your day isn't over until you go to be and you don't get days off.
