No Romance

I read years ago that the script went through numerous rewrites, which originally did indeed include Arnold and Vanessa falling inlove. Scenes were actually filmed with this in mind, but the director and actors alike felt that it just didn't work. Arnold and Vanessa had a hard time keeping a straight face and not laughing whenever a love type situation was being shot as well. So the idea was abandoned and their relationship remained as it is seen in the movie.

Because the job John Kruger had couldn't revolve around a marriage. He was always on a mission. He couldn't get married or anything because then a bad guy would kidnap his wife and she might get killed. That's why.

Honestly, that's what I assumed after I watched the movie. I usually get annoyed when needless romance is tacked onto action flicks, but I'm actually disappointed they weren't more romantic in this movie. I thought they looked great together!

I am SO glad they didn't fall in love. It does make a refreshing change for them not to these days. As others have said, he is a professional and didn't want to get involved that way with his client. Also, they had absolutely NO chemistry together, as is the case with Arnie most of the time.

Because "Jungle Love" was already out. Also why do you like employing romance in this film simple because it involves a man and a woman. A bit cliched if you ask mewhere did you graduate from college again? So if it was a story about two men and two women then would you still have them "fall in loveand live happily ever after?" You are a weirdo is is stuck living in the stone age. Come join the present.where women can own property and vote.

Yes and because Vanessa Williams is a black woman, would have made it even more exciting and pleasurable to see. "John Kruger" cares about his clients so the fact he would have a extra-bond by making love to her would have still be in line with the plot.
She sure enough trusted him to the max!
