This Flick would have been perfect if they'd have toned down the public displays of affection created by CGJ and his on-screen wife, i know that the movie wanted to basically compare Jerry's marriage to CGJ's, the thing is it was 2 different circumstances, Jerry just met his lady, and it seems as though CGJ and his wife had been married for years so you can't really compare it.
One scene was enough, but no they had to go over the top and make the black couple continuously soppy over each other in every scene that they were both in, it isn't realistic, what type of married couple really behaves like that in front of other people?! Even the ones that are extremely in love! it would just be too awkward. 2 pairs of married couples are out having dinner, you just don't behave like that in real life, they ruined the whole movie.

I actually thought they were sweet. I didn't think they overdid it. I could understand if they were having full blown make out sessions but all they really did was hug and a couple kisses. My boyfriend still holds me and kisses me out in public and we've been together for 3 years. Not crazy make out sessions but I don't see anything wrong with a couple pecks.

What made me cringe was the scene where Marcy is being held back while trying to kick her brother in law while watching the game on TV
If Rod and Marcy had been white I'm not sure they would have written this scene that way.
Is very bad to steal Jobu's rum. Is very bad.

you obviously didn't get what this movie is suppose to be about!
Jerry TEACHES Rod what it is to be a PLAYER!
Rod TEACHES Jerry what it means to be a family man and whats really important!
of course they gotta show it

Was Jerry even in that scene? I can't remember, I thought he was always with him at the games.
If Jerry's not there why include the reactions of the Tidwell family? Jerry isn't learning anything because he's not there to see how the dynamic works.
I agree, it was a little showy but I'm okay with it.
