    They basically get probably less than a handful of hours on how to learn to operate scuba gear. From books I've read, a number of wannabe SEALS fail BUDS (SEAL training) because of difficulty using SCUBA gear and BUDS is a 6 month program. Should this be a goof? Because it seems highly unrealistic and yes Im aware this is not a realistic movie. I noticed in the goof section someone wrote this was incorrectly regarded as a goof because apparently you can learn how to use SCUBA gear just from watching tv in jail. lol

      Scuba gear aint exactly rocket science. I was only 12 years old when I got my junior open water scuba certification through Scuba Schools International.

          I don't know how fast learner Goodspeed is, but Mason is an ex-SAS operative.
          But I think you could learn basics pretty quickly, but for mastering that skill you really need those six months.
