Took advantage of them. Not sure how old they were supposed to be, but definitely underage. This was supposed to be their motive. There was some joke after Sid asks which one killed her, and they said they tag teamed her, which is how she liked it.
I guess they changed it because it made Billy and Stu too sympathetic. Kind of muddied the waters a little.
Look for the original script with the oroginal name, which was called "Scary Movie" by Kevin Williamson.

Yeah, it seems like it could be subtext. I think it was the right choice because it might have made Billy and Stu too sympathetic. I wonder if Wes was responsible for that change from Williamson's script. I know in Nightmare on Elm Street, he originally conceived Freddy as a child molester, but didn't want to exploit all the preschool sex abuse stuff in the news, so it was reduced to subtext.
I love seeing original scripts. Wes' original script for Nightmare 3, before other writers transformed it was really dark and ****ed up. I don't think we would have gotten the jokey Freddy starting from that one if that got made.

In the remake they did, but in the originals, it was more hinted at. He was called a child murderer, but what he did with the kids before is implied, especially with all the obscene things he did like licking Nancy through the phone, reaching his claw between her legs in the tub, and saying come to Freddy.
The first and 3rd one along with New Nightmare are the best. I actually like 3 more than 1. The last Stranger Things season borrowed a lot of its themes.

Craven implied Freddy was a child molester too.
I don't see the point in making Maureen, who was clearly an awful person, a diddler. It's ok to kill Sydney and a bunch of random people because Mareen molested you? Like… what?
I had 2 and 3 on in the background yesterday while doing **** around the house. I haven't seen 3 much. Man, she was just awful. A slob of a person. She created so many of the killers. Billy, Mrs. Loomis, Roman.
