i was 13 when scream came out in 1996. too young to see it in theatres but i rented it and watched it numerous times in the summer of 1997 and it's still one of my all time favorite films. i always loved 80s slasher and horror as a child and though i wasnt alive when the original scream was released i did see halloween h20 in theatres in 1998 when i was 15. i thought it was so cool that the cast came back 20 yrs later, and being that i wasnt even 20 yrs old .it felt like a very VERY long time.
cut to almost 20 yrs later and it has just zipped by. crazy. it's too bad wes died it would have been fun to revisit these characters for a similar 20 yr anniversary movie. -

For sure. I remember first seeing this on VHS when I was 4/5 yrs old in 1997/8, and loved it. It is certainly one of the vest best horror films out there that deserves a lot more love, and an all-time favorite of mine, as well. I too can't believe it is now Twenty Years Later, time sure-as-hell flies. And it's very sad Wes Craven didn't live to see the 20th anniversary.

Ha!! I know how you feel. I was only 11, and couldn't watch it in theaters, but it took over my life in the summer of '97. I can't believe it has been that long. Time really does go faster when we get older.

welcome to reality or actually adulthood. ever since i was 18 and just graduated high school i started noticing time is going by extremely fast suddenly everything changed everthing sped up and there was no way to slow it down at all and the older i got the faster time went by it is insane nowadays. now days go by like half of days and i can't remember what day it is bc every day goes by so fast.
you just said that you were 13 when scream came out so why did you say you weren't alive when it came out?

I'm 21 going on 22 and it's weird how there are some people who were born in 2005 who already turned 18.
Also, it's kinda scary to think that there might be a 2007-born working at McDonald's.
