I agree. It took me a while to memorize which adult was the kid. They didn't even resemble the adult actors portraying them. The kids weren't that good of actors.
Like, Brad Pitt's character acted nothing like he would be an attorney growing up. Jason Patrick's child character didn't act anything like he did as an adult. Same with the other two boys. The guy was the only one who pretty much hadn't changed.
