There isn't a thread devoted to this actor yet. So I thought I'd make one.
The first time I realized this was the same guy who had been in WHO'S AFRAID OF VIRGINIA WOOLF and other classic films, I thought, he is surely slumming doing a sitcom.
But this is not a run-of-the-mill sitcom…and he's great in it. I like how he conveys paternal feelings towards not just Maya but also to Finch and to a lesser extent Elliott.
There's a seventh season episode, forget which one, where Jack's TV has been stuck on MTV and he has been picking up gangster rap lingo. It's hilarious. -

He was a marvelous actor.
Just Shoot Me definitely wasn't your run of the mill sitcom. I believe that is because of him.
I am going to have to look for that episode. You've got me curious.
