Elliot was the weak link on this show

I liked all of the characters on this show, but I couldn't stand Elliot. He really did not belong and I just cringe whenever he appears. He's boring, unfunny, unattractive and adds absolutely nothing to the show. I find his delivery to be incredibly slow and I just wonder what they saw in him.

I disagree. Elliot was really funny. Remember the scene where he's trying not to laugh at Maya's "hot nights in paris" song? that scene still cracks me up. The only part that really didn't work was how he was supposed to be this glitzy photographer with supermodel girlfriends. Elliott wasn't eccentric enough in the show to give off that image, and looks-wise he was about as average as it gets: bald, hairy (for TV standards) and with a surprising lack of fashion sense.
That said, it should be remembered that in every sitcom they need to cast someone as either not funny or 'normal' in order to maintain a balance. I think Elliot did a great job with his lines, given that his character wasn't necessarily supposed to be funny. -

I completely agree with you except for you somehow I made a mistake you must have meant Finch as he was a person who constantly made me cringe whenever he spoke Elliott was the funniest person on the show
