13 years later, I still LOVE this song and this movie!
No matter what version I will also have a special place in my ❤ for Hope Floats!!!!
I'd go hungry, I'd go blind for you
I'd go crawling down the aisle for you
    There ain't nothing that I wouldn't do
To make you feel my loveeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee

I like the Trisha Yearwood version better. I had it in my music collection, but it is now floating around in the cloud with about 30 more of my songs. And now I can't find it anywhere online!!!
It is a beautiful songmakes my heart melt every time I hear it.

I agree. I love the song, and it was a perfect match for the movie.
However, I'm quite sure the lyrics above are actually not correct. The first two lines of that verse are actually
I'd go hungry, I'd go black and blue
I'd go crawling down the avenue
Virtually every site I could find confirmed this for both the Billy Joel and Garth Brooks versions. 🙂

It was written by Bob Dylan. I feel like a lot of his songs are quite timeless. Garth Brooks' version is my favorite and I heard Adele recently recorded a cover of it too!
