Jackie Brown is my favorite Tarantino movie bar none, let me just get that out of the way. But here I am watching The Graduate for the very first time, and what the hell did I just see?
I made a video capture comparing the two:

Man, the opening shot of Jackie Brown, along with the music, set the tone to what I felt was a very enjoyable movie. When I watched Jackie Brown for the first time, I thought this was a very "original" opening shot. But now that I see he borrowed the opening scene from another movie, I just have to shake my head. I mean, it's one thing that the opening shot shows the main character on a people mover, but it's set in an airport and they both just got off the plane, too! LOL
I wonder if the Elmore Leonard book (Rum Punch) started like this?

Now you finally understand when people say Tarantino "steals" from other movies. You probably had just never seen any of the sources he was stealing from, but yes, it is that blatant. I have no problem with any of it though.
