If only! She'd've been amazing as Lynn Bracken - and light years' improvement over the amateurish Bassinger. She's a strong enough actress to make you forget she looks nothing like Veronica Lake.

You're of course entitled to your opinion, but I don't think you'll get much support to your contention that Kim Bassinger's performance was amateurish. And of course Bassinger did look a lot like Veronica Lake in this film.
