I agree.Why did the 2 main actors (Pitt & Forlani) either mumble their lines constantly OR whisper their lines almost the entire movie? (ONE main exception: Anthony did NOT mumble and he was the best actor in this movie,imho).
And yes, the music score was way too loud and since the actors mumbled so much , it really took away from this movie.

Even though I don't agree with the OP, word of mouth travels fast. People often tell family and friends about movies they just saw. If someone said they didn't like a movie because they couldn't hear the dialogue or any other reason it could sway a person not to see a film or just wait to rent it.

Don't know if it bombed. When it came out in the theatres, it got so-so reviews.
I've seen this movie more than a handful of times now, and each time, we need to put on the captions. I agree the mix of music and dialogue is all wrong.
Great movie!!
