I ask this only because I've watched true hollywood twice about Sandra Bullock it it goes over all of her movies she's been in, except this one, I just thought that was kinda strange,,,,

LOL that's so funny, how us women just think of things like that,
I think it's funny/cute, I just thought they had such good chemistry that they would have become good friends after that..I swear I'm so nosey with there lives, I forget about my own JK JK.I actually heard that when they did the midnight margaritas that they really did drink them..

I had forgotten where I read/saw this but Sandra Bullock specifically requested that Nicole Kidman play the part of Gillian. I think it was Sandra who first got hold of the book and said she really wanted to turn it into a movie and then declared that she couldn't envision anyone else playing Gilly. Maybe they had worked together before (not sure, too lazy to check the imdb credits) or maybe they had just met beforehand somewhere but Sandra said something about how she and Nicole hit it off right away and had tons of chemistry together so that's why she thought they would work really well portraying sisters.

I don't think they are really friends, but still enjoyed working together.
About the drinking: On the commentary of the DVD Sandra and Nicole (in interviews) said that they actually got drunk while filming the scene on Tequila (I think) which was brought on set by Kidman.

That was actually the point. There's an old myth about witches. Witch children are often dramatically different, as if gotten by magic. That's why Sally's daughters don't look alike (but do resemble both her and Jillian.)

It is the Owens. Each Owen's family that is connected to the curse and magic have daughters. Two precisely, one is a red head and the other is a brunette. They are also vastly different in look and personality.

Love these two together, very special chemistery. Fun and silly, my favourite.
And despite how many people picked on this movie, i still loved it. A great Sunday night movie in.
