. I'm not a proponent of LGBTQ+ in general, but when people are involved, I prefer

My late mother was also very intelligent at one point. But after she contracted Alzheimer's, I would not have considered having her run for an elected office.

My late mother was also very intelligent at one point. But after she contracted Alzheimer's …
I know the experience. My mother had dementia for the last seven years of her life and I was with her for the last four. She had a friend in the attic and often expected the president to land his plane (not helicopter) in our driveway.
