Meanwhile it was the women who were liars. There was nothing wrong with silicone. The pioneers of the practice were robbed and vilified for providing a service. This movie is an unjustly harsh critic of them.
Haven't seen it in awhile but I remember the "rebound" scene of the patient asking (to the effect) "You want to charge me to remove the implants you gave me, and charge me again to replace them?"; as if to show what a devious scumbag the doctor was.
Meanwhile there was nothing wrong with the silicone implants and the moron American tort system and media that are destroying this society attempted to bankrupt this guy for doing nothing but make people's lives better. -

How are the women liars? All they knew was that their implants were leaking or whatever and they became sick. I mean if you had something foreign put in your body and something went wrong with it after the fact and then you got sick, wouldn't most people think that one has to do with the other? Unless you have proof that these women lied about being sick, otherwise they didn't lie, just blamed their illness on the wrong thing.

Doc80 the doctors didn't consider that the implant bags could leak, and what could happen if they did. The doctors biggest mistake was going through with thier implant buisness without the board's approval. Not enough research was doen before hand about any of it.
but however, no one forced these women to get implants, they didn't ask enough questions. Most were naieve and clueless and desperate to look better.

I remember a comedy bit about this; The comedian mentioned how women wear heels to appear taller, makeup to enhance their face, dye their hair, etc. This procedure is no different, IMHO.

I didn't see it that way. It was from a paying customers point of view where they are being asked to pay to remove a possibly faulty product from their body, and pay again to replace it with a safer alternative. Or just pay to have them removed. When it's said or read aloud, from a business perspective, "
What they hell did they think? That it would be free because DOW Corning was found neglegent?
