In high school, the 3rd string RB was better than the 1st and 2nd string RB. The problem with him though was that he didn't care about football and so he didn't study the plays. He only knew a few plays and so the coach didn't play him alot. But boy, when the coach played him, everyone on our team would get excited. He would juke and outrun everyone on the field. The other player on the team knew that he was the best too.

Tom Brady was the back up on his first Super Bowl team. Drew Bledsoe went down with an injury early in the season, and the rest is history.

I woudn't say he was better but Steve Young came in for an injured Joe Montana and now is a HOF quarterback.

Rich Gannon was probably a better QB than Elvis Grbac, but the Chiefs kept Gannon benched and started Grbac.

JT Barrett and Cardale Jones at Ohio State were both better than Braxton Miller.

Uncle Rico. If Coach would of put him in they would have won state.
