I'd say it's worse than ridiculous. A system that puts profit before people and considers basic necessities (such as healthcare) 'a privilege not a right' is bound to lose in the end. This current crisis reveals the true nature of the beast and the failure of a system that relies too heavily on the private sector. Healthcare workers can't get necessary supplies, millions of people are now without jobs, and millions more might find themselves out on the street before this is over. FDR had to introduce socialist policies during the Great Depression to save this country; I think we'll see similar - perhaps more radical - measures taken to jump-start this country post-coronavirus. I'm a socialist at heart. Crisis always precedes revolution.
