I have to say that I sometimes get annoyed with posters carrying on about how awful a movie was .. because it didn't match the book.
I've read many books that were better than movies made from them, but I take them separately if so. It doesn't automatically make the movie awful. stephen King stories are good examples.
I'm a prolific reader but I did not read this book. I did enjoy this movie. It was well done, well acted by a great cast, and featured an original, interesting story.
It's ok to say you preferred a book, but don't completely trash the movie for those who choose not to read it.

Amen, sister. King himself once responded (when asked "What do you think about Hollywood ruining your books?"): "My books are right there on that shelf. They look fine to me"

The book is one of the worst piece of garbage i've ever come across. Me and my gf picked it up for fun for 1$ at a thrift store and are reading it to each other right now and can't stop being amused at the awful writing. Anyway i've seen the movie a while ago and while i don't remember most of it cause it definitely is unmemorable, i'm still pretty damn sure it's better than the book. Cause it's just awful.

I have never read the book, but I do not care for the movie. It was awful.
