the moment when he is drinking on the sofa, then turns his head aside and there is this girl-ghost sitting. I was 25 years old guy when I saw it in 2000, and I almost shouted aloud. Doesnt happen too often, but this time I almost beep my pants :)) Really scary scene, but a good one. :))

Wait, you mean to say a young girl sitting next to you scares you? She didn't even look scary, or menacing. She simply looked like a girl sitting there. Yeah, sorry, I don't see where the fear is.

This comment exemplifies what always irritates me about critics of ghost stories. And I don't mean to attack you personally, it's just that I'm using your comment as an example: if you were sitting alone on your couch at 3 AM with your two family members upstairs and no one else in the house, and you looked over and saw some girl you have never seen before on your couch, admit that yes you would be startled. Unless you are a physical medium and this happens to you all the time, of course.

I jumped at that scene, because it was totally unexpected. I also like that the director played the audience when he re-try a few times on the sofa, I was expecting the girl will pop up somewhere.

I don't know what you mean by "jump scene," but I found the segment where Kevin Bacon can't turn on the water and kicks the can into the second-floor window simply astonishing. And it's all in one take!

Yes, I've seen it before and noted the ending before. But last night, I had the surround system cranked up and those last moments really unnerved me.
I don't know if you're aware of this but I've already changed things. I killed Ben Linus.

(Spoilers)
I felt the scene where Tom pulls off Samantha's coat revealing the mummified corpse was startling.
I mean, you know it's coming and you brace yourself, but it still unnerves you not knowing exactly what you're about to see.
Then you see this blackened corpse with her bent glasses arranged crookedly on her face with that missing snaggle tooth.yeeeesh.
