Best movie ever. In Caps.
Actually, Harold and Kumar is my favorite movie of all time but Highway is so close to topping it.
Whenever I see clowns, I always think of their relatives and how dissapointed they must be -

what is wrong with you, this movie sucked so bad there arent even words to describe it, i mean first off, pilot is the biggest duechebag of all time, who lies to there best friend and puts them in potentially life threatening situations in order to see a girl, what a useless dueche, and then there is no climax to the movie, not that they didnt set up like 100000000 but everytime they made it seem like something would happen in this movie, NOTHING HAPPENED, and indeed nothing happened the entire movie, this movie is a terribly boring waste of time

Looks like you found some words to describe it after all.
I'm not sure how you characterize that nothing happened. They f-ed their girls. They went to the Dan-D-Fine. They go to Scawldy's and score some juice. They meet Cassie. That all happened. They meet Johnny the Fox. That happened. Pilot almost gets his ass kicked at a rave, they see an Alligator Boy, beat up some Frat boys, go to Seattle, meet up with the Pandas So, right there, whether or not you think the stuff was interesting, stuff happened. So you've been proven wrong on that point.
Pilot being a jerk for taking Jack to Seattle in the first place. Yeah, maybe. That's one reading of it. But, hey, if he was this major happener who did all the right things, how interesting would the movie be then? I'm guessing you would have found it even more boring (Ohs noes!!!).
I'm pretty sure the climax was when the pandas found them, chased them and beat the crap out of them. Whether or not you found it exciting doesn't dictate whether or not it was the climax.
Your opinion is your opinion, but at least base it on facts instead of ranting like a d-bag. And if you want action, don't watch little Indie punk flicks filled with interpersonal drama and philosophical rants watch XXX or the new Rocky or something -

i was basing my post on facts and you missed the whole point of what i was saying, good job, the thing about pilot was that i cant possibly care about a movie about a character who is so deceptive and morally well, useless
also this so called "climax" is well boring and predictable, who cares
and well im not really an action guy, i just want things of interest to happen, i love indie punk flicks filled with interpersonal drama and philosophical rants, this one just happens to suck -

I guess if the point of what you were saying was to phrase everything as a totally unfounded exaggeration, or to purport that your opinion is fact, then I understood it, I just didn't appreciate it.
I'm of the opinion that just because you think a movie or a band or a book sucks doesn't make it fact. But I guess that comes from not being a total narcissist. -

"i cant possibly care about a movie about a character who is so deceptive and morally well, useless"
so you dont care for Taxi Driver, Scarface, Goodfellas, Fight Club, No Country For Old Men, There Will Be Blood, etc. all highly acclaimed films that centre around a main charter who is deceptive and/or morally corrupt.
you don't like a character in a film does that make it a bad film? if anything it makes it a good performance by the actor who has sold that personality so well to you! -

Exactly. I have no idea what makes it so darn appealing to me but hey. I can watch it over and over and justget it. That's all I can say to describe it. I get the whole entire feel, the life, the why - just everything. I get it.
Pop Quiz.
What is the best movie ever made?
Highway. Hands down!
Beep - Perfect score. Gold star. =D -

Why I love Highway,
I definately couldn't tell what was coming. It was so fun seeing Jake Gyllenhaal play such a character that can't be related in any way to Brokeback Mountain. It had alot of memorable lines (pop quizzes, Pilot's name story, Johnny's JC Penny rant.) Scawldy's monologue was the bomb. You wanted to know what was going to happen next and next and even after it ends, you want to know more.
Everytime I watch it I have fun quoting it along the line. "Ladies and Gentleman, I give you Jack Hayes, the GOD OF beep!". Jack and Pilot are so badass.
That's why I love this movie. -

I think a lot of people hate this movie because few can relate to it. Seriously, how many people on this board have lived like that? Most of you probably don't even smoke pot, let alone do drugs. Or get into beep like that. Or just up and go have a road trip somewhere.
It's one of those movies with no enormous climax because that's not what it's about, it's about living and learning and whatever other beep So it doesn't offer an over the top plot, and it has characters most people would look down upon if they knew them in real life. Nonetheless, this doesn't make it a bad movie at all. It just makes it a movie more people won't like.
For the record, Pilot isn't an beep He does some sketchy things, but it's not that much of a big deal since they had to get the beep out and had no where else to go anyways. And he's not perfect, but without that the ending wouldn't be so touching right? The fact that they're still best friends after all that beep -
