. . . to see the Scientology shills pretend to like this movie.
I do mean 'pretend'. Because there's no way they actually like it.
Being a sci-fi fan, I was excited for this movie when it first came out. I didn't even know of Scientology's existence at the time. I had heard of L. Ron because of the Dianetics commercials that ran on the TV. I didn't learn what it or Scientology was until a couple of years later when I went to LA. Anyhow, when the BE trailers began to show up on TV I thought it looked awesome. But it was crap. I saw it again today and its still crap. Every aspect of it is terrible. Anyone who says otherwise is a Scientology stooge.

I've never seen it, though I've always been aware of BE been universally hated by critics. I was wondering if it's worth seeing for a laugh?

You'll probably be groaning more than laughing, but yeah, that is the only reason to see it. And even then you will have a hard time finishing it.

Uhnope, because I actively hate on Scientology with nothing but enthusiasm, and still like this movie. It's not a good movie by any means, but it's funny. Scientology is a load of bollocks though. If you know anything about Scientologists, you'd know they never ever bash on the religion.
