I know its a horror game but when I think back to when i was like 7, playing Resident evil is one of my happiest childhood memories! I love replaying it now it's like activating my boyhood all over again!

Me as well played this game when I was around your age. I liked it and played it a lot and it scared the living crap out of me. When it got to scary I turned it off.

For a couple of years ages ago I started to play it again. Still scary, but this time I tollerate it better. I'm 20 today. But I havent succeded to play throught the game yet. -

You know I sound really sad, but I still play this game occassionaly. It may be old but it is still a classic and great game.
Playing this game makes you wonder what a long way we have come. It feels a bit strange seeing the characters here, particularly Wesker. I mean when you see all his character went through, from here, to Code Veronica X, to RE 5. Playing this game just gives you so much nostalgia.
Remember, there might be some MOMENTARY DISCOMFORT. -

First off I'm surprised any of you were playing Resident Evil that young consideing the M rating. Back when I was 6 we had NES which didn't need a rating system. Anyway, I was 14 when I first played it when my brother's friend brought it over to my mother's house. After being used to NES, SNES and Genesis, this game was a big deal to me. The game scared me, and I tried to explore around. A year later, I get it for Christmas 1997 as the Director's Cut and I tried to remember the rooms and environments from that one time I played a year earlier and only a few things came back to mind: the main hall, the dining room, the blood stain, "Chris is our old partner you know," the first zombie, the Tea Passage, the Blue-Green Passage, the kitchen, the upper dining room, the hunter jumping out in the Blue-Green passage, the gray passage with pillar, attempting to leave the mansion front door and that passage with no doors where the snake bit the hole in the floor and basement passages. Everything else not mentioned was completley new to me. Other things I thought I remembered from that first time playing weren't there, or my memory faded some parts.
I wish I had fully remembered everything from that first night I played Resident Evil because that night was a big deal to me. I took me a year to get it after that one play experience.
