Not because of the plot or the characters.
I'm sick of the two weeks of new episodes, three weeks off, one new episode, two weeks off beep that's been happening the last few seasons. I've come to expect the long hiatus at Xmas time, but this is getting ridiculous. There's a new "hiatus" every few weeks. -

i know that a couple of years ago, they said that they were cutting back on the season because the actors wanted to spend more time with their families (kids).. then you have to add in possible snowstorms and nor'easters they can't film certain scenes during bad weather as well as the fact that it take 8 full working days to film just one episode (that is basically 1 and 1/2 weeks).. then we had the presidental election last year. as well as the world series which is every year. there may be other reasons as well

Personally, I think its because they have an executive producer that is a real life Olivia Benson who wants to produce, direct, and control the story content of every episode. Maybe "Benson" needs a wake up call, that obviously she CANT do every job well. IMO that's what the problem is.

Its an opinion board. Some come here to worship ( like you) others have differing opinions. We can complain all we want. Unless this is your board, you don't order anyone to do anything. Besides, Xeliou is much better at it than you.

Cardinal42 herself is a bully god forbid anyone leave negative comments on Code Black, Designated Survivor,17 kids and counting and the Duggars to point cardinal42 tell the poster to put a gun in their mouths and pull the trigger or tell posters their husband are sexually abusing their children,
So Nolkemper cardinal42 is biggest hypocrite on imdb and it's a known fact if Bensidy was still together cardinal42 would be moaning why there no new episode

I have been bullied on here for YEARS and IMDB does bupkiss! People report my posts for no reason and they get deleted. I get called bitch, whore and more and NOTHING is done and I have had enough.

This show never started out as a Mariska Hargitay show. It was not to be "The Benson Show". It was an ensemble and face it, Christopher Meloni was the bigger star at the time. And his years were by far the better ones and the shows Stabler drove were the better ones. The show as it stands now is a pale imitation from its former glory from 1999-2010 when Meloni left. Hargitay and Wolf are driving this show into the ground. RIP SVU.

This has very little to do with anything that Mariska wants. Shows have X amount of episodes. TV season has X amount of weeks, more than #of episodes. Therefore most of the breaks are planned to make the show last until May.

Just because you're producing doesn't mean you're actually doing anything. It's a title, that's it. She has her own production company. She's not running around getting light bulbs, fixing sets, or anything like that. She only directed 5 episodes in 3 years, that's nothing. There's other things like someone mentioned, with bad weather, elections, and all that stuff going on that delay production, not to mention the holiday season.
