I just watched this film for the first time tonight, and I noticed how similar Dark Knight is to it. Ledger's Joker speaks very similarly to Mason. The Joker and Mason talking about how they got the scars on their face. Batman and Clarice are incorruptible when being pressed by their adversaries. Clarice and Batman both being hated for doing good. Batman searching for the Joker at the abandoned building the way Clarice was searching for Lecter at the mall. Hans Zimmer producing both scores. Very different movies, but they had some common elements and themes.
