    the back room, the movie never said anything else about him ? did the Book mention his "Fate" ???

      In the movie, Dr. Lecter is seen at the end on a plane with part of Paul's Prefrontal lobe, so it is assumed that Paul died, but in the book Dr. Lecter shot Paul with a crossbow, killing him. Hope this helps 🙂

        Thanks! Paul was such a despicable character so I guess he got "his" in the end in both the book and the movie! lol

          He bled out most likely or probably stroked out. And however vile and despicable character he was, the way he met his end was still horrific. Even Clarice thought so, pitying him. Remember the exchange towards the end when Paul,slurring his words and ready to collapse asks 'who's Starling' and Lecter brushing off his question in a cruel, humiliating manner, Clarice answers him, teary eyed 'I'm Starling, Paul'
