your all halfwitsthe movie was excellent, and keanu, admittingly not the BEST actor, is good because he doesn't have to ACT to act..he just works.
And THERON was excellent, and you wouldn't have the oppurtunity to be romantic you goose - ppl have to like you first 😉

I completely disagree, Keanu is charming in this role, I can admit he isnt up for an oscar anytime soon, but in this he comes off as charming and I think this was a wonderful heart wrenching story of how a man realized what love was. Theron was amazing.
for the record keanus best movies:
1:Matrix(1&2)(didnt really have to act, his monotonous ways worked for neo)
2: Replacements(he was funny, in a dull way)
          3: Constantine
          4: Sweet November
          5: point break( i guess)

I'm sorry, but you don't know chit.
His "best" roll was in The Gift. He was decent in that film. Overall, he is a horrible actor. Absolutely horrible.

Did you see this movie blindfolded ? Or did u have a traumatized adulthood, with no love ? Because it's very obvious if you can't appreciate a good movie.
Lame story ? Well the only thing lame that has something to do with this movie is you commenting on it.Seriously.The story is great. It makes people realize that if you get too preocupied with your job and forget the simple things in life like love, you will end up being very miserable and unhappy and also a month, yes, just a month of true love can make you feel better than you ever were in your whole life, better than all the money in the world can get (Nelson's case) and you can die with your heart at ease after such experience( Sara's case ).Nelson even refuses to get back to his job in order to spend more time with Sara.A story of living love at it's maximum intensity even for a short period is something that very few people are lucky to have and by the time of this movie was produced I believe that there was no other movie to screen this story.
Charlize Theron was very expressive in her acting from her 1st scene to her last she sent exactly the message that she should have sent a woman that tries to make someone else's life better and falls in love ,but her disease takes her away but people like you that like only Twilight movies cant see that.
So before criticizing a movie you should come with some better arguments rather than 'HORRIBLE','embarassing','LAME'. I guess these are the only adjectives u know.I am beginning to feel more sorry for you than I felt for Sara and Nelson.
Get some love. It's there for everyone and IT'S FREE !

I agree with the OP. I remember watching this being a fan of Theron (a bit less of Reeves' acting at the time) and thinking it was going to be deep or comforting. It was "nice", but nothing deep. Kind of stiff. It's like a movie that took ideas from other movies about relationships that change your life and compiled them into something that didn't make sense. Like when Keanu has his epiphany seeing a little girl quasi-breakdancing on the corner amidst other images that having nothing to do with the preceding film? Sure, it might make sense in another film, but here it was a non-sequitur lamefest.
Also spoiler alert "I'm going to go live with my sister". WEIRD Deus Ex Machina at the last minute. Love it hahah.
It's nice the pair decided to make a movie that was basically the tonal opposite of "The Devil's Advocate", but it is mostly weak-sauce.

She didn't say she was going to go live with her sister, she said "I'm goin' home." I guess this meant her family.
At first watch, I assumed that this meant she was committing suicide! I mean, why show the busy highway and have her say "I have to [do it]. Because its starting to happen." or "They know I'm coming."
This seemed to me to indicate she was 'going home' to Heaven.
This film was a little tedious in its pacing, and some acting was wooden I agree, but I did like it. Mainly because of the warm chemistry between Keanu & Charlize (they REALLY seemed like a married couple in "The Devil's Advocate").
But the ending is maddening, it makes no sense given the characters' history previously.
"I'd say this cloud is Cumulo Nimbus."
                      "Didn't he discover America?"
                      "Penfold, shush."

I recently saw the original Sweet November from 1968, and oh my God, what a difference. Sandy Dennis was 100% better than Charlize Theron and Anthony Newley was 500% better than Keanu Reeves. Everything about the original far excelled the remake. If you liked the remake, then you owe it to yourself to at least check out the original.
And yes, it's in color, so if you were born after 1975 and you can't force yourself to suffer through a black-and-white film you'll still be satisfied.
