What happened to Sebastian?

Does anyone know why they left out Sebastian the cat? Those who have seen the cartoon or read the comics might remember him. He's Alexandra Cabot's pet tuxedo cat. In the cartoon, he got the Pussycats out of traps and stuff. I'm an extreme cat lover, and I was pretty upset that he wasn't included in the movie. I'm just curious to know exactly why, if anyone knows.

I agree it was kind of dumb to leave him out. The whole premise of the band is cats, so they could've used him as a mascot or even just a cameo as a CD cover art. But he got completely neglected, it's weird. He was kind of a main character.

And I would have liked if they'd have included some of Sebastian's magical powers that were never included in the TV shows
