This did not deserved the coveted actual Warner Bros. network it was on.
There is nothing Warner Bros.ish about The WB period. It was a lame unpopular network and I can't understand the dumbasses who think this network was truly Warner Bros. in nature cause it's hardly recognizable from it, or that it was more popular. It wasn't. No one remembers
    7th Heaven
    or
    Dawson's Creek
for that matter. UPN was closer, and yes Warner Bros. is black too as was UPN. Too, I'm reviving UPN and creating WB, a real Warner Bros. network that won't have a "The" before "WB" or anything Tribune about it. Archer comes off as a complete smug
    Friends
    -watching,
    Seinfeld
-hating asshole. This didn't feel like
    Voyager
    2.0, this felt like
    Buffy
    or
    Angel
2.0. This show was unpopular for a reason. And could never be
    Voyager
. Yes that show was a classic, despite what some people (not all, but some who I've seen say UPN ruined
    Trek
; don't make me laugh, The WB's shows were all lame, except for their later stuff, but in popularity and ratings The WB from 2002 to 2006, could never match UPN's heyday of 1995 - 2002) may say. And I say this as someone who knows, yes, that
    Voyager
    could never be
    TNG
    or
    DS9
    .
    The Sentinel
was one of the best popular shows, and it was better than this bullshit.
    I didn't like the
    Friends
    -watching
    Seinfeld
-hating Allied bullshit Nordicist holier-than-thou sanctimoniousness either (yes I mean Allies in contrast to both the Central [which did include Italy, borderline, as they were not happy being Allied], and Axis Powers). This show is the 60s show 2.0. True
    Trek
because with Jean Luc Picard and his crew and ended with Janeway and her crew. Although at least Kirk (and by extention Shatner himself) made no bones about who he is. Archer is nice in a very slimy way that shows that he really isn't a nice guy. Same with the actor playing him.

It might've suffered a similar fate actually but it might've also lasted longer had it come out when UPN and WB merged into the CW.
It is a shame that the last two seasons were intriguing but you had to get thru the lesser first two years first to find it.

Like I said, I know the spirit of
        Trek
believes in respecting all sides of an argument. But my hatred for the 60s series and
        Enterprise
is not without reason, or like I'm some disrespectful little kid who disrespects adults and everyone. My hatred is with good reason.
The only thing the 60s series has redeeming it, is Spock. Who was the early version of Picard, and he had that fatherly love and wisdom for the young ones. However, in terms of likableness, Spock all the way. Picard is usually an asshole and a
        Friends
        -watching
        Seinfeld
-hating asshole, it's just that his experience with the Borg made him more relatable in a sense. People usually remember that Picard, the one from after "BOBW." But before he just another generic liberal asshole with beliefs up his asshole. In that sense I'd rather deal with Kirk or Archer (but Archer is on thin ice, cause he's the slimiest of all the captains). They believe in "crazy"-saying and mental hospitals and sedation (I only believe in sedation when it comes to surgery, which is done to alleviate pain during surgery). Kirk and Archer are only better in that sense, that they were old-school conservatives (although Archer was slimy).

Archer got to be more of a "tough love" guy as it went on but hardly would call him "slim" in terms of characterization. I am surprised you watch it this much if you were never into Trek. Def don't see any Republican values to them.

No I mean "slimy." Archer is like nice in a way that's condescending. The other captains are not like that. Not arrogant Janeway or Picard. No I don't mean conservative in a political sense. But Kirk and Archer would be more Republican in that they're not downright liberals the way the 1987 - 2001 era was. It's just it was more black (that 1987 - 2001 era, whcih I call the UPN/Warner Bros./WB era of
            Trek
[and yes I mean WB, as in the network I would make, which would not be one with a "The" before "WB," just to clear confusion; that Tribune crap from 1995 - 2006 was nothing like Warner Bros.; the fact that it has a "The" before it, just shows that "WB" is not good enough on their own, for them]) so it didn't sting as much. But I've been around liberals, especially white
            Seinfeld
-hating ones. They are so arrogant. Janeway, I just wanted to smack. Picard at times, I wanted to punch too, in early seasons too. He just has the edge because of having being hurt by the Borg.
Don't get me wrong. The captains of the 1987 - 2001 era are great characters, but they're not likable (except Sisko). Janeway is the worst of them (but has the most likable crew, aside from
            DS9
) and Picard is trailing a very close second, close to being tied. The Borg is the only reason he has an edge. But early Picard was no different from Janeway. Smug, arrogant, believing he's better. The last two of the
            TNG
movies makes him more closer to being pre-Borg Picard again. And it doesn't help that a codeless loser downright scored the last two movies.

              The
              TNG
crew, minus Geordi, minus Worf, minus Ro, and minus Wesley to a degree, are all completely unlikable. About equal with the 60s show, because Ursula and Spock were cool. Riker, Beverly, Deanna (and her mom) are just unlikable period. The Scottish guy was an asshole. That Russian character was an asshole. They were all outright smug and thought they were better. Data, I'm a little bit more neutral towards, cause he did some gay crap, but he's a robot so you can't hate him. And as an emotional being he's a lot nicer than the person who doesn't portray him.
              Enterprise
only beats it, cause almost the entire crew was completely unlikable.

                No I watch the 1987 - 2001 era of
                Trek
, you know the UPN/Warner Bros./WB era all the time. It's the 60s show and
                Enterprise
and all the new Shatner-esque crap that I don't watch. Spock is the only thing that was good about the 60s show, along with Ursula. Anything since the 2009 movie is crap. But I don't like the last two of the
                TNG
movies either. The most codeless **** I've ever seen.
