Anyone else feel this is the best anime ever?

He's just plain wonderful, isn't he? I'm completely in love with the guy.

I too am childish and hate to lose.

I actually agree with OP. I've seen tons of animeand for some reason I can watch this series over and over. The last few episodes are just epic and beautiful, can't really explain it. But yes, to me Trigun is my favorite. Kinds of reminds me of Nausicaa of the Valley of the Wind-not the story mind you, but I think Nausicaa is one of Miyazaki's greatest films, but it's so aged that it is often overlooked. I think Trigun gets the same treatment
You people and your slight differences disgust me. -

I couldn't get into Outlaw Star, mostly because
they killed off my favorite character early on
. I keep hearing that compared to Cowboy Bebop (and now Trigun, two of my favorites), but I really didn't see it.
I think I got through the first six or seven episodes then had to discontinue, it did not hold my interest (but then, I know someone who didn't like Trigun, so go figure :).
Three two one Tiger & Bunny Over and Out.

@sdw10
Maybe it depends whether it was your favourite to start with?
I loved Trigun, specially once it hit later episodes, but since to start with it was not my absolute fav, it still is not. It definitely is one of the better things I have seen, but I wonder whether it would land in my top 10 at the moment, great as it is -

We just finished watching Trigun. If you go to my blog, you can read what I wrote about Vash, who is without doubt one of the most amazing characters, not just in anime, but in any media. At least in my humble opinion.

That was an excellent read! Thanks for sharing.
For me, Trigun is tied with Cowboy Bebop. Both are absolutely terrific shows, and Trigun has one of the most fascinating character studies I've ever seen (that being the philosophical dilemma's of a pacifist).
I don't care for animes, but shows like Trigun, Cowboy Bebop, and Fullmetal Alchemist (the original, not Brotherhood), broke that tradition and got me into some terrific narratives. -

Back after a long time to my own thread

Spoiler Alert
Anyone recollect the scene in one of the last episodes where Vash is taking a small break on a bench while kids are playing around him. By watching the play of innocent kids in cool breeze, he relishes the beauty of humanity and life. Then right away, he starts weeping about why this peace cannot last forever, why should these people suffer because of a few violent elements such as his brother and his lackeys. Tears involuntarily flow out of my eyes every time I watch that scene, and I am a grown man that has always succeeded in suppressing my sadness.
