Unicorn I haven't seen Bebop in about 4 years. Has it aged badly? I still thought that it looked good the last time I saw it
It has not aged badly at all. 🙂
I watch so little anime, I can't tell whether something looks 'old' unless it's with respect to the style of artwork. You know how certain things - artwork, clothing, music - go in and out of style? I'm wondering if these shows were just drawn in a style that was popular during that decade that is not in style now.
The only show I can compare them with is Death Note, which is VERY different, stylistically. I can't tell if it's just a different in style or the difference is in fashion from one decade to the next.
I'm not sure if that made sense. If anyone picks up what I threw down and can explain it better, please do! LOL

I can go with that MrsSpookyHowever Lupin definitely looks "old" and "dated"
Bebop is just a classic. Every episode was great! I need to re watch it sometime soon
MrsSpooky don't forget to check out Full Metal Alchemist! That is a great show! Thanks to Unicorn for telling me to watch it 🙂
      Have a nice Day 🙂

I meant 'like CB is has not aged badly', perhaps I put it wrong.
But it did age, slightly. I have watched a few series out this season and while the plots have their ups and downs, the animation can be really superb now. But then if Bebop was made like this, it would loose a lot of its charm. 🙂

Agreed Unicorn! I feel that Bebop was filmed with a certain since of nostalgic classic feel to it. Kind of reminds me of the Noir genre. Actually Bebop embodies many different elements from different styles of film. Which makes it timeless for me. When I first saw Bebop I had no idea of the kind of worldwide following that it had. So I went into it with a unbiased mindset, and was stunned by it.
          Have a nice Day 🙂

I just started watching Trigun: Badlands Rumble and looking at the animation here, yes, the series does kind of look old. At least, the artwork and animation in Badlands Rumble looks quite a bit more sophisticated than the original series looked.
Frankly though, I preferred how Vash was drawn in the series, but oh well. At least we have the original actors (if you watch it subbed - thankfully Johnny Yong Bosch is back as Vash in the dub, even if they did get a new Wolfwood. No clue about Millie and Meryl).

Trigun: Badlands Rumble was really good! I bought it on Blu Ray. Even though the animation is updated. The character models didn't change that much. Johnny was the only English voice actor to return. Milly, and Meryl even though they sound similar are different people voicing them.

I bought the standard DVD and I'm kicking myself for not getting the blu ray.
Yeah, that WAS a good movie. That bar scene was laugh out loud funny, wasn't it? 😄
The Japanese actors all came back, which made me happy, and yes, the updated animation does kind of make the original look 'dated'. A bit. It still hasn't lost its charm though.

The BluRay looks awesome! I wish the series was animated in the same aspect ratio as the movie. The Bar scene was funny, and awesome! I loved the Sand Steamer scene where Vash saves the day! I love how he always acts like a goof, but is actually out witting the villains 😉

Hehe, I just watched Casshern Sins And guess what, this looks so old despite being done 2 or 3 years ago or so. Now, Trigun definitely does not look THAT dated.
