Here's a woman who knows her place in life. She's just yearning for a man strong enough to treat her like the subservient toy that she is, like all women secretly desire, despite of decades of ludicrous pinko "feminism." But Walter is just too young, too stupid, to naive, too much of an effeminate, emasculated little wimp; a sad product of the modern day Marxist brainwash job that's been carried out on the West by the same scum who hated Germany, therefore he doesn't know how to give it to her.
It's such a tragic film.

Interesting theory. I'm interested how you would explain, from your perspective, the scene where she tries to beep her mother. Care to comment?

This kind of blanket statement proves without the shadow of a doubt that you are clueless. The fact that there are men such as myself who strongly disagree with you would be enough for any educated mind to understand that women themselves are just as diverse and different than we are.
You are just a misogynistic brainwashed conservative like most others. Read a book.
People who don't like their beliefs being laughed at shouldn't have such funny beliefs
