I own this movie and have seen it many times, including last night. Even though I know the movie and the ending, I still get a lump in my throat when he finds his baby and they show us a scene where she's probably 2 and looks just like her mom and she playing in the leaves with her dad. Very adorable little girl and you could tell that she was the light of her father's life probably because of the special way that she came into his life. I sure hope that Joe didn't move because I could see Kathy Bates' character totally dote on her.

Why should he? You clearly didn't heed that advice because all you did was troll with a flame post personally attacking someone you disagreed with.

I cried, I admit. It was beautiful that even though he lost his wife, he found the daughter he didn't know he had. Beautiful really.

It was sad but being a man I never cry!
Except when watching the Lion King and if you tell anyone I'll doh!

I thought the ending was ok. I'm surprised that I managed to keep up with the movie as I thought it was terribly directed even though I think the story could have worked well in the hands of another director. I may have gotten a lump but that was about it.

I didn't the first time I saw it. The second time I was premenstrual and couldn't stop crying.

Unfortunately I found the ending rather predictable.
