The writing sucked, the acting sucked

Well, it's not going to stand up as one of the great all time movies nor is it going to be sweeping any awards. But it was good for what it is and is probably the best romantic comedy I've seen as it was genuinely both romantic and comedic, which a lot of "romantic comedies" have lacked lately. The acting was OK.

Emile is so over the top with his acting, I don't really buy his "intensity," he seems to be indicating all his emotions. I just can't even finish watching this film. I'm not sure why people seem to love this movie. Maybe it's really just the fantasy of the hot porn star? Even funny Chris Marquette couldn't keep my interest going. What a waste.

Cuthbert was pretty horrific, plot was very thin and riddled with cliches. Really no character depth coupled with a pedestrian and adolescent feel. Not much to recommend here at all, unless you want a vapid comedy marked by gross overacting.

What the hell is a "pedestrian" feel? Could you please explain this curious use of the word, as I am not a native speaker of English? Also, I do not agree with your opinion. What did you expect, Godfather IV? The acting is perfectly fine, as is the plot.

Your opinion sucks.
Please remember that all this is just my opinion, and I mean no disrespect to anyone who likes it.

Got to disagree with you. This was a beautifully written film that steers clear of the genre "gross out teen comedy flick." Personally I thought all the main characters were well played and indeed likeable. Even Kelly's character had heart.

Yeah, this movie is pretty bad. Caught it on Comedy Central for some reason. I guess they are experimenting outside the comedy genre, because didn't see anything remotely funny about this waste of celluloid. Rating = "2"

I agree. I wanted to see this in theatres but was too young so when it was on dvd i bought it. watched and was like this is one of the biggest waste of my money ever. The only good thing was the plot it was cheesy but kinda good. it couldve used waaayyy better execution with acting and writing. it seemed like a highschool film and i know how bad those can bee.
