what do you mean by sexual tensions?! Amanda Bynes is like in her 20's and Colin Firth is at least in his 40's. Correct me if I am getting the wrong idea.
hmmm.so what?
I actually logged on here to see if anyone else had noticed!
loool, me too. -

Totally, it was really awkward that they were supposed to be related. Especially the scene where he follows them to America to tell her he loves her. It was so "romantic comedy" and they had such palpable chemistry.

yeah I remember when I watching one scene (I think it was the one where he comes to America to get them) I was thinking, "man, if someone had just tuned in to this movie, they'd think these two (colin and amanda) were together." It is pretty sick, but yeah

I'm sorry, but I had to read through four pages of comments and absolutely no one here realized he was probably thinking of HER MOTHER when she was this age.
That's who he was in love with (always) and he was thinking how much she resembled the love of his life when he knew her all those years ago and what he had missed out with the both of them not in his life all those years. -

You guys are right! I watched it after reading all this, and I really noticed it. A few times when he/she went in for a hug I could have sworn they were about to kiss XD

Whoever doesn't think there is sexual tension, is either a moron or in denial because your fantasy would be tarnished.
I like Colin Firth but there's no denying that he had creepy/perverted thoughts running through his mind during the entire taping, especially the scene when she was trying on mini dresses at the market. -

Well, I never felt the sexual tension or anything. But now that I've read 4 pages of this threadthis movie is ruined for me. Everytime I see the movie I'll picture something weird happening between Daphne and Henry. That just sucks!
PS. I wouldn't mind sexual tension between Henry and me.

I noticed it, mainly at the end in which he gives her the whole speech about how he loves her. It had "romantic comedy" written all over it. So partly, the dialogue was stereotypical for romcoms and didn't help the situation.

I noticed the 'sexual tension' made me want to cringe, particularly at the final dance scene. I don't think it was intentional, we're probably just used to watching rom-coms. I remember watching this when it first came out and didn't notice anything, ah to be young and innocent

they definitely had great chemistry i thought it was just me but with colin who wouldn't actually i thought the scenes he had with amanda were more intense than the ones he had with jessica biel in easy virtue and he was actually supposed to be attracted to her.
