I couldn't believe how bad it was. Just unwatchable. Looked like beep bad acting (with some ok actors), stupid story, crap editing, over the top idiotic gor. But the worst part the music. I've heard cats have sex with more harmony.
I'm just happy the director hasn't done anything since.

The shame is that the original idea about it being a psychological thriller about 4 salvage people turning on each other after being stranded on a derelict ocean liner, if written correctly probably would have been much better to watch and much more creepy. Instead some moronic suit in a studio somewhere had to make the decision to turn this into a cheesy ghost story.

every movie board ive accessed on imdb has someone stating is this the worst movie ever? I mean sure they are far from award winners but they pass the time,I found this movie kind of creepy when I watched it late at night by myself and thats all I was looking for.

I'd much rather see the psychological thrillerbut I still enjoy this movie for it's cheese and decidedly dumbed-down storybut it had my favourite on-screen couple of the time (Julianna Margulies and Ron EldardI was watching reruns of ER), and Gabriel Byrne. I consider all three to be at the very least good actors. And Desmond Harrington filled the creep quota for this movie. Lovin' the cast, but personally could have gone without the ghost boobs.
Worst movie ever made?? Hardly. An example of a movie that could have been so much better? Definitely. I've never been good with what defines a "Great" horrorI don't scare for any of them and the "Great" ones are cheesy as heck too.
I say enjoy this movie for what it is, and if you don't like it, good for you! One movie you'll never have to see again! We should all be exercising or something instead anyways, lol.

Au contraire, i found this to be a very underrated movie. Lame title dint help. Worst movie ever That
honor belongs to extremely loud, incredibly close followed closely by dark knight rises, hunger games and hannibal. -

OP - clearly you've never seen The Room lmao. Go watch it and believe me, you'll see that Ghost Ship is far from the worst film ever made
