You put your left foot in,
You put your right hand out,
    You let your torso fall
And you shake it all about

Yes excellent point. You quoted the original version of the song, the way it was meant to be listened to and performed. Most people know of the watered down PC version. It was originally written by Jason Vohrees as an homage to camp counselors, with the music added by Michael Meyers. Creative differences over certain words "Jason wanted torso, Michael wanted the words to be decapitated head" lead to a split. It was decided that Jason's version would be used more by smaller groups in the wilderness and Michael could have more the suburbs. Ghost ship wanted the version with the torso bc of the scene with wires. Jason and Michael both objected to the song in this movie, saying " I don't want our song being used in such an unrealistic movie. A movie where the villain doesn't die no matter what, and continues on for yet another sequel??" They found this type of movie trash but bc of signing a contract (they had the same manager as the singer Tiffany from the 80's)
(If you are unfamiliar with this tragedy, google it. You will also see where Debbie Gibson destroyed Tiffany for supremacy of the pop world in the late 80's-but I digress) they were forced to consent. They were allowed one small piece, where they were allowed to chose the choreography for the song. They chose a co choreography, using the zombies from Michael Jackson's Thriller and Tony Basil, the cheerleader from the "oh Micki" music videos in the early 80's. Again this was a compromise. Michael didn't like the choices, telling Jason that he was stuck in the 80's and needed to get an update. Tension lead up to the premier party of the movie, where a final confrontation was supposed to happen, but a mutual friend stepped in when Michael ran out of gas on the way there. Freddy Krueger took over Michaels role and this led to an epic battle between Jason and Freddy. Originally it was a dance off, whoever a Hollywood writer changed it into something else so a movie could be made. Similar to the tales of Heros of the Wild West where the heroes were embellished. Jason won the dance off btw, but that is a little lost moment of history. Today the 3 are quiet. Jason and Freddy are actually friends now and are hoping to do another piece together. Michael has gone on his own a couple of times with limited success. Here is hoping all 3 can get together to perform some more of their magic.
