What is going on with IMDb? Why were all the messages about this film from before 2005 removed except for only this (the above) one exception? Why was at least one thread from September, 2005, on "This movie was alot like Duel?" also removed, if not other threads, too? Is there some new IMDb policy which I am unaware of? Other films have a dozen pages of messages on their boards. Then there are boards which have also had all their old messages removed and have been left with only seven pages of message threads. And then there is Black Cadillac with even fewer left. Weird.

I've noticed this also, there seems to be a time limit, and old messages expire or something, I'm not sure.

Plenty of message boards have time limits. That's unfortunate but understandable. But there are movies here on IMDB which have threads left from 2004 and no recent postings, while more recent threads, from 2005 and early 2006, have been removed. And the deleted threads aren't the most interesting discussions or topics. Maybe IMDB saves room by deleting half of all threads but does it alphabetically instead of by date?
