Dear La di da,
I can see your hesitation in Delmarco(Andy) kissing Jessica(Ashley), while she was inebriated and drugged, but he hesitated and then reacted out of a passionate instinct and it was romatically real - 100% if not more.
As for his weight, use your imagination. Having extra weight, in his case adds some drama, character, and emotional depth. I, myself, have been fat and trim. Both are liberating experiences. You never know, he may pleasingly capture your eye, in a future film, if he chooses.
If you restrict yourself from never kissing an overweight person, you just may be missing out on something wonderful. Maybe you are young and have exceedingly high and limited expectations?

It's not just a weight issue. If you watch any of her movies, you will notice that AJ appears to be a HORRIBLE KISSER. Case in point - look at her with Greg Kinnear and Hugh Jackman in Someone Like You. She just smashes her lips against whoever it is she's supposed to kiss. It's about as unromantic and unsensual as you can get.

I didn't notice Garcia being overweight. He's not really a thin guy in general he's solid (which I don't see as a bad thing, I personally find him sexy). I've seen him in several movies and he always looks pretty much the same. Maybe in Ocean's Eleven he was slimmer but I really don't remember since his role was so small compared to the others.
I didn't want their characters to kiss for numerous other reasons. First of all, why would his character want to kiss her's considering they didn't build up any chemistry between the two of them. You should have some chemistry to build on before the kiss IMO. There was no groundwork that led the audience to believe that they even liked each other that way. Maybe for sex but that's all. There was no real friendship developed, no joking around or flirtation between the two etc. If there was I missed it. Plus if I were Garcia's character I wouldn't want anything to do with Judd's she was a drunken slut with real problems (no offense). I'm not saying his character didn't have major flaws too as we found out later that he had something to do with the death of his girlfriend/wife. Just saying, without some scenes of them building up a relationship would it be believeable that they even would WANT to kiss each other.
A movie that I liked Garcia in was sometime in the early '90's in which he played a detective and Uma Thurman played a blind girl (I wanna say it was called "Jennifer 8"). Anyway physically the two of them didn't suit each other at all in this movie. They didn't look good together she was way taller than him etc. But the point being the movie made it believable that these two characters would fall in love with each other despite them not being physically compatible. And this was due to a good storyline, writing and acting. Something that Twisted unfortunately lacked. -

ew, oh my god, i noticed those, too. sometimes i wish i didn't have a widescreen TV. all these little things show up in way too much detail. yuck!
by the way talking about andy garcia's weight in this movie is not normal. andy garcia could look good wearing a straw hat and bikepants. talking about andy garcia's ham-acting in this movie is, however, acceptable. and i always thought he was so cool. why did i watch this movie? why?????? -

Yeah, that scene was pretty hot. Ashley looked quite hot in this movie.
