Naomi is hilarious

Every time I see this movie it cracks me up, my fav character is naomi because she's so freaking funny and gets mad at nothing, she also be cracking fake smiles etc and the way she talks is funny lol. It's like you've seen characters like her before in real life so that's why watching her is so funny.
My other fav character is DAn the manager because he's all gung ho about being a manager and you can tell he was in the military. I think he's funny too because he's so anal about things and enjoys getting people in trouble. We've all seen characters like him in real life as well which makes it funny. -

Naomi was the best character in the movie, imo. Besides her hilarious blow-ups, her facial expressions were just as funny. Like the part where they had the meeting with Dan outside and the way she looks at Monty when they're singing the birthday song to the kid.
Alanna Ubach is such an underrated comedic actress. -

Every service job has somebody like that. I'be been on both sides. When this movie came out I was the young 23 year old server and my best friend was the bitter 32 year old server who did nothing but bitch about her job. My last serving job I was the bitter 32 year old guy who would scream obscenities about my customers the second I walked into the kitchen.

I worked at a restaurant thirty years ago where there was a waitress who acted just like Naomi. She bitched about the customers(With good reason), back stabbed her co-workers and was cruel to the busboys(Me especially). One of the assistant managers finally got tired of her crap(Actually, she stopped sleeping with him) and took care of matters. There was one customer, an old battleaxe who complained every time she came in to eat(if we sucked so bad, why come back?). She was a terror who usually left the server(male or female) in tears. The assistant manager began seating the Battleaxe in the Waitresses section and pretty soon they nearly came to blows.
The Waitress was fired.
Battleaxe never returned.
PROBLEM SOLVED!
