I'm so tired of all the ignorance when it comes to race.
Why can't someone who was BORN in the United States of America but has Puerto Rican, Italian, Greek, Venezuelan, Croatian, etc. - you get my drift - play someone born and raised in Wyoming
But, yet, someone who was not born in America but is from The United Kingdom or Ireland or Scotland can?
Is it because everyone who is American HAS to be PALE skinned, with blonde hair, and blue eyes?
NO!
I have seen people who are from Wyoming, Ohio, Nebraska, Kansas that have tan skin brown eyes and brown hair and their Ethnic backgrounds are not from Mexico, Puerto Rico, or Venezuela.
Just because you come from a Spanish Speaking country or your ethnic background is from South America or Greece or Italy and so forth doesn't mean you are automatically going to have dark skin brown hair and brown eyes.
Stop being so focused on someone's RACE or ETHNIC BACKGROUND
RACISM NEEDS TO STOP!!! -

I get his point, though.
I was wondering about that for the first 40 minutes, I didn't understand that she was married to his son and was not his daughter. I probably didn't get that because they didn't say it, and the way she built it up with the explanations about the Griff's "grandfather" and how flawed he was made me think he was her Dad. -

Her mom could have been a Latina, although that wouldn't really matter since she wasn't his daughter, but his daughter-in-law.
Please, know what you're talking about before you troll.
This will be the high point of my day; it's all downhill from here. -

My husband's family is from Colombia, and my 10-year-old daughter looks just like my husband with olive skin, dark hair, and eyes. I am blonde haired and blue eyed, and my other 2 daughters look light just like me. People look at me weird when I am with my daughter. It really isn't that difficult to comprehend. There are plenty of mixed-race couples living in the United States.

I was just adding to the conversation. Yes, but what is wrong with Redford having a daughter-in-law who is of Puerto Rican descent? It happens a lot these days. My brother is married to a nice Filipino lady. My mother is White.

The original poster obviously didn't watch the film very well. Yes, it is possible that Lopez could have been his daughter too in real life. That is what I was addressing: that I am White and have a Hispanic looking daughter. In reality, there are more and more mixed marriages. In films, they should address that more too. The population is changing even if this is off topic.
