Not just in the movie, but also in the book (in cold blood) it is mentioned that dicks eyes will be 'given' or transplanted for someone else to use :S
Is this possible!?!? Even now days i would find that hard to believe, but back in the 1960's
If this is true, who actually got his eyes.

Eye transplants do happen. But they're just like any other organ donations, they are anonymous

just noticed that you made this post 8 yrs. agomay i alter it a bit? palin has been diagnosed w/ cte (that explains the indecipherable gibberish when she was speaking in support of trump -who knows what was really said? -no one, it'll go down as one of those eternal unknowns). 'murikkka has been given the effed up optic orbs of dick.
funny when you think of it that way, ain't it? 'murikkka has dickeyes, that's why everything is soooo effed up.

They can transplant corneas but not the whole eyes. I don't remember how long they've been able to.

My grandfather, Elmo Ragland, got the transplants in August 1965.

An interesting bit of trivia: Those are actually Dick's eyes that are seen in the movie poster for "In Cold Blood."

Corneal transplant was very possible at the time. Interestingly, a number of murderers have donated their corneas.
