I would say that they were bi since they did not stick with their women as their beards.
Sure, Ennis's wife divorced him but he could have faked it with women who were interested in him.
"Sorry. I have a girlfriend."
And Jack was having affairs with other women while married to his wife.
So I say they were bi.
