And if season 3 isn't as bad as I remembered it was, this one is the worst season, for me.
I thought the storylines weren't very compelling (except the freshness the time jump brought, during the first half, and the two farewell episodes, in the second one). The overall mistery, got old, really fast (the way the revenge was planned, at the end. Was beyond ridiculous). And after
Eddie
died (just when I was starting to like her), there was nothing that kept me really interested anymore. And to be honest, the characters began to annoy the hell out of me, during the last episodes (Susan/Mike & Katherine, being on top the list. With their stupid, assassination of characters, love triangle).
Overall, it was a very mediocre season, compared to the rest after, and some of it, before .
The ranking, from what I remember, would be:
Season 1: top notch season, that had everything we love about the show.
Season 4: a nice little mistery, wrapped up in a neat bow. With an overall entertaining set of mini-stories.
Season 7 & 8: back to basics.
Season 6: I really liked the new family and it has some of my favorite episodes, of the whole series. But just like season 5, the second part is where things get a little tedious.
Season 2 (& 3?): it suffered from the comparaision with season 1, that was perfect in every way. And too all over the place.
Season 5: Everything about it, was weak, compared to the rest of the series. And only some episodes were really worth watching.
