Ghetto Juliet1, I'm not sure if you get the TVONE network with your cable provider, but it's a much better network than BET. It's a more refreshed and progressive African American network and LIGHT years past BET! I could almost see them running 'Noah's Arc' before BET.

lol
i never watched this show before. dont have cable
but as said, they keep their channels seperate. BET's main demo seems to be male 15-35
so i doubt they would want to see a show about homosexuality.
which is funny since Wire. or whats part of it-
is showing on there. and there is a main character
that is homosexual.

I wish they were. It would raise LGBT awareness in the black communities, perhaps making it less taboo, and showing that the need to be on the DL is unnecessary and a risk for the families of those men who are living that "down-low" lifestyle. There is no shame in being gay, and running this show on BET would not only bring Noah's Arc to a more widespread audience to gain more of a following, but it would help break down that homophobic wall and help some black men gain self-acceptance and perhaps help them open that closet door.

It would very progressive on BET part to air Noah's Arc. BET can air programming that is so misogynst against black women. BET can air programming that is so stereotypical about the black community. Yet here is Noah's Arc a very good show about gay black men and BET won't even give the show a chance. As someone else already mentioned Noah's Arc was on LOGO which is owned by Viacom the same parent company for BET. I think black people would watch I honestly do. There is homophobia in the black community and airing Noah's Arc would be the STEP in the right direction. I think BET is not giving enough credit to the audience. Plenty of black people have gay and lesbian family members. I think BET should air the problem but I agree with everyone else I doubt they ever will.

I agree with you venusbony. BET can show booty shaking whores jumping up and down while some vile rapper slids a credit card in the crack of her ass but won't show Noah's Arc. it's troubling.. but then again, BET's target audience are homophobic 18-34 year black youths. Homophobia is large in the black and Hispanic community as it is.

i believe that BET will come around and air noahs arc once there are people like us pressure them in demand for it, but i dont see are hear that nobody is making an efford to bring it to the surface we are people that watch TV and BET and we need to take a stand, its easy for us to say what they might not do but what are we doing to make a stand on this. there are alot of worse things in this world in this day and age to worrie about situations like this. YES.. i think that they should play noahs arc on BET and on other cable channels like HBO, SHOWTIME ECT SO PEOPLE OF THE WORLD WHAT CAN WE DO TO MAKE THIS HAPPEN WERE WE CAN BE A PART OF THIS SOLUTION

I agree jcook45, when people demand it, or if the station is pressured, then you will see it air. As a black woman I have grown to understand that many blacks are very prejudiced against gaysyet, if a so called "white" network refuses or simply does not have a "black" show on the air, that station is racist..WTF????
If it is one thing I absolutely can not stand is hypocrisy.
You will pay the price for your lack of vision
