Trey wasn't a good partner

I really didn't like the way Trey treated Alex when Guy was in the picture. You don't choose your new buddy over your frickin' husband! He didn't believe anything Alex had to say about Guy and was ready to kick Alex to the curb for daring to speak negatively about him. Alex should've left Trey's big overgrown self!

Yes, but Alex was no great prize either, which even he admitted in the movie.

For that matter, the rest of the guys treated Alex pretty crappy too.
Yeah, he had a few jealous episodes which, in retrospect, were justified but the guys wrote off anything Alex said as Alex being high strung and delusional.
I mean, if my best friend told me that some guy threatened to take his man and then cut himself with a knife in front of him I would totally believe him regardless of his past behavior.
Why would my best friend lie to me? I would be slightly skeptical but I wouldn't write him off.
I mean, if the four of them are so tight they should have trusted that Alex was telling the truth once Guy starting going mental. -

You make some good points. & I agree, but Alex's pattern of being jealous wasn't to his advantage. And, too, the rest of them were wrapped up in their problems/situations. So, they should have been there for Alex, but they were distracted.
