AoU is still a great movie. The only reason that wasn't at 90% like the first is because of the "big boy on the block" backlash from a few jaded critics.

For me the movie overcame any silly, 'can't be taken seriously' vibes pretty easily, and quickly. I mean, the tone is playful and light, but seriously, miniature people armed with weapons would be a highly effective asset.
