          The first half "villain" (or one of) basically
          finds a way to bring matter from another dimension
          . Some loose connections to Doctor Strange perhaps (the mirror dimension) and some clear connections to Agent Carter.
          But basically he initially believes
          he's creating matter out of nothing (even though he's a scientist - he thinks he's rewriting the laws of physics) and it turns out he's essentially stealing it from another dimension
          with predictable problems.
